Description | Christie Walk was born in the context of Urban Ecology Australia, as an independent project, in order to concretely realize the “Eco-City” paradigm. Christie Walk is a small demonstration of how the vision of an eco-city can concretely come to life. It is a 2000 square meters area with an average of 200 people for hectar, with shared green space and built with criteria that grant high environmental performances: use of renewable energies (fotovoltaic panels, water warming with the sun heat…), use of rainwater and water recycle, organic agricultural production, use of recyclable materials in construction phases. | |
