| Description of the project | “Washington, D.C.’s first elevated public park will be perched over the Anacostia River. Its main goal is to promote equitable and inclusive growth for the community. The community, experts, non-profits, and local authorities have collaborated to draft its Equitable Development Plan. As 11th Street Bridge Park director, Scott Kratz, said during its panel at the Aspen Institute: “we have to ensure that the thousands of people who help shaping the park would be the ones benefit from it” (Aspen Institute 2018).For example, 35% of projects subcontractors are DC based minority owned firms. |
