| Description of the project | The “Libera Repubblica di San Lorenzo” is a free assembly of citizens, workers and students proclaimed in 2013.It fights for its neighborhood : affordability, culture… According to their Facebook page : “In recent years, even in our neighborhood, the process of “gentrification”, the one that involves the expulsion of residents and historical activities and the exploitation of stories and relationships, has been successful. But it is starting from our neighborhood that it has found stronger and stronger forms of resistance and courage.”As traditional assemblies, they have fixed meetings organized as public assemblies. With regards to the membership, it is quite heterogeneous since it collects people that have nothing in common apart from the concern for their neighborhood. |
